Our October Color Palette
Utterly feminine shades reminiscent of chic makeup palettes make up our October collection. We fell in love with soft hues like tender blush, parlor rose, palomino, and vanilla creme.
Coming across this color palette has seriously been the best thing that’s ever happened to me, besides getting into nursing school. And you know, having an awesome boyfriend. BUT ANYWAY, seriously, I’m going to use this every day of fall, and heck, even winter.
I’m particularly crazy about the vintage wine, the burnt sugar, and the saddleback!

Who doesn’t like old stuff? Everyone does! Specially those items that are hidden underneath piles and piles of clothes in your closet! Those items that when you find, it’s like you’ve just won a million dollars. That’s how this dress makes me feel. Honestly, I can’t remember when I got this. In fact, this is the first time I wear this dress yet I consider it an oldie, because well, it’s obvs old but it’s still cute. The royal blue was screaming at me telling me to wear it and well I can’t say no to cute flowers and royal blue.
It’s such a timeless dress also; I can’t wait to pair it up with maroon tights and my camel riding boots along with a mustard cardigan and a cute neutral scarf, and poof! there’s a fall outfit. I’m not letting this baby hide underneath piles and piles of clothes anymore. This is officially my Hall of Fame dress #1. And if you have no idea what I’m talking about when I say this is my Hall of Fame dress #1, take a look at What I Wore’s Hall of Fame dresses. Basically it’s those items that have that classic, timeless look, that no matter how old they are, they’re still stylish and make you feel like you’re worth a million bucks.

I’m sleep deprived, y’all. Nursing school is no joke. think I’ve gotten probably a combined amount of 15 hours of sleep this week. THAT’S ALMOST NO SLEEP. I’m used to 30-40 hours of sleep per week :( It’s okay. I’ll survive and in two years, you can come to me with your illnesses and I’ll take care of you.
Again, because I’ve been so busy and my photographer lives three hours away, this is an old outfit that I’ve kind of kept as a back up outfit if all else fails, which it did. But hey! At least I was prepared. This dress is so cute but it’s also so short! I don’t know how much that bothers me though. I think the stripes make up for it, and I’m also 5’0 so then I guess it works.
I’m slowly transitioning into fall colors! I’m in love with cream and black stripes. Heck, I’m just in love with stripes, period. :)

Oh hi there, let me tell you about today. It was hot, frustrating, annoying, and busybusybusy. I was a wittle grumpy girl all day and nothing was cheering me up. I guess we all have those days, ya know, where you just feel like nothing goes your way and there isn’t much you can do to fix it, so that makes you mad even more? I don’t know, maybe it’s just me. Whatevs.
On a much happier note, don’t you just love this top? I do. I’ve actually got a wittle crush on it. The neck gives it a little Victorian and vintage vibe that I just can’t resist. I love the color and I love the way it goes with the honey brown of my bag and the shoes. Love love love it. And it’s got super cute little buttons on the back that just cheer me up.
Here’s a quote that definitely cheered me up today and I think it’s quite cute how it goes together with my gold top.
“Don’t worry your pretty little mind; people throw rocks at things that shine”
Stick around, frans!

Happy fourth of July everyone!
I had a wonderful weekend with my family and friends! This weekend was full of life lessons. Have you ever felt like things couldn’t be any worse but then you realize that once you’re at the bottom, you can only go up from there? Well, that’s exactly how I felt. Let’s just say my weekend was full of weird and confusing emotions.
But anyway! About my outfit, I kept seeing striped maxi dresses everywhere so I set on a mission to find the perfect striped maxi dress that didn’t make me look like a striped smurf and, I did! YAY ME! I do have to admit though, at first I was a little hesitant about it just because I’m 5’0 feet tall and long dresses aren’t always a good idea for short gals like me, but hey! I felt pretty and patriotic (since it was 4th of July and all), and that’s what it’s all about. :)
Now that the weekend is over, I can’t wait to start posting daily and keeping you guys updated on my summer. I hope you guys enjoy your week!
Stick around!
XOXO

What’s all this color-blocking talk?
Remember the times where we’d spend hours and hours getting dressed and just trying to match? Well, those times are OVER, my friend. And this is where I introduce…or re-introduce to you, color blocking!
It’s definitely not a new trend, but it’s coming back with a big bang. So what exactly is color blocking? Basically, it’s the use of two or more blocks of color, sometimes from the same side of the color wheel, or sometimes from completely opposite sides. If you love colors and never really agreed with matching, this is YOUR trend. It’s so much fun experimenting with colors and designs. If you want to try but are too afraid to, start small. Pop a little color into your neutral outfit, maybe wear some crazy colorful nail polish that doesn’t match your outfit, wear colorful heels, maybe a funky hat, or purse? Anything works!
Although it seems all fun and games, it’s not. It’s a great trend and one of my favorites, but you have to be very careful not to look like a clown. Because, well, that wouldn’t be good. I have to admit I’m not all that good at it and maybe it’s because I’m still learning that even though it isn’t about matching here, it’s about picking key pieces to pull it all together, and that is a tough tough thing to do.
I’m learning every day, and I hope you are too, young grasshopper. Here’s a few pictures of how you can color block without looking silly! And I’ll soon be posting a little bit of color blocking I did myself!

Lastly and before I head to bed, check these girls out! They’ve taken color blocking onto the next level. A little too much, don’t you think?

Stick around people!
